Chest CT angiogram shows mild, circumferential wall thickening of the descending and ascending thoracic aorta, extending into the great vessels and abdominal aorta. Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) demonstrates dramatic, intense, diffuse, circumferential FDG uptake throughout the entire course of the thoracic and abdominal aorta, as well as the proximal subclavian arteries.
