A patient with lipomatous hypertrophy of the interatrial septum and aortic and mitral valve disease underwent operative valve repair, during which the interatrial septum was cut. The post-operative CT shows a new peripheral rim of increased density around the still centrally fatty septum with a few internal striations, a change seen on both chest and abdominal imaging.
