Spontaneous Regression of Metastases in Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma

Imaging findings
Initial chest CT from August demonstrates a right apical pulmonary nodule, a second pulmonary nodule, abnormal nodular pleural thickening, a left pleural effusion, and soft tissue thickening in the apex with subtle erosion of the adjacent rib. A follow-up CT scan from December reveals that all intrapulmonary and pleural lesions have spontaneously decreased in size without any interval therapy. However, the apical soft tissue lesion with rib invasion has progressed. Biopsy of the rib lesion confirmed non-small cell lung carcinoma.
