Cardiac Sarcoidosis Mimicking Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD)
Imaging findings
Cardiac MRI shows an enlarged right ventricle compared to the left, with motion abnormalities including dyskinesis and bulging (almost aneurysms) of the RV wall and interventricular septum. Late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) is positive in portions of the RV, especially along the septum and outflow tract, and also in the inferolateral wall of the left ventricle. Endomyocardial biopsy confirmed sarcoidosis.
