Sequential CT images during a percutaneous needle biopsy of a lung adenocarcinoma demonstrate placement of a gold fiducial marker adjacent to the lesion. A post-placement scan following a patient cough shows that the marker has migrated out of the tumor and into the mainstem bronchus.
