CT and MRI demonstrate a small, highly mobile, lobulated cardiac mass attached to the chordae tendineae of the mitral valve. On CT, the lesion is closely adjacent to the papillary muscles and can easily be overlooked. Histological examination reveals a classic branching pattern of avascular collagenous and elastic fronds lined by a single layer of endothelial cells.
