A 32-year-old nonsmoker had a large lung nodule on chest radiograph and outside CT with a distal obstructive phenomenon, showing an amorphous, cloud-like pattern of calcification rather than central or stippled calcification. PET showed minimal metabolic activity within the mass, and the lesion proved to be a typical carcinoid tumor.
