Chest CT shows a very thick, nodular pleural rind in the left pleural space with large, chunky matrix calcification conforming to osteoid or chondroid differentiation, extending into the mediastinum, extrapleural fat, and interlobar fissures, causing mass effect and compression on the adjacent airway in a patient with asbestos exposure.
