CT demonstrates an elongated, heavily calcified soft-tissue mass involving the esophageal wall, with dense confluent dystrophic calcifications protruding into the esophageal lumen. Biopsies demonstrated spindle cells consistent with a degenerating, calcified leiomyoma.
