Bleomycin-induced Lung Injury

Imaging findings
The lungs show diffuse ground-glass opacity, predominantly in the upper lobes, and patchy peripheral ground-glass elsewhere. There are areas with developing honeycombing and fibrosis, as well as perrylobular consolidation. Traction bronchiectasis is also present. These findings represent an acute change, as they were absent on a prior CT.
Key takeaways
Bleomycin is a chemotherapeutic agent known to cause drug-induced lung injury. Imaging features can be varied, including ground-glass opacity, organizing pneumonia patterns, and fibrotic changes leading to honeycombing and traction bronchiectasis.
